Should the referee penalize for the offside or revoke his advantage decision and penalize the foul by the defender?

Advantage versus Offside
A foul was committed by a defender but the ball goes to a team-mate of the attacker. The referee signal for an advantage to be played. He then notice that the assistant referee has raised his flag to indicate that the team-mate was in an offside position and gained control of the ball.
