Wrong Position = Wrong Decision

Wrong position of the Assistant Referee resulted in him making a wrong decision by raising his flag for offside. The player in yellow is not in an offside position when the ball was played by his team-mate to him and he is neither offside when he received the ball.

Such situations often are the consequences of the lost of concentration of the AR and also not following the movement of the second last defender.

Making a wrong decision is part and partial of refereeing but making a decision that changes the result of the match is consider a bad one.
